2000 Quinta do Portal vintage port

This was our last bottle out of a 6-pack purchased in Denmark 2014. Consumed one bottle per year. Now being 24 years old. In general, the bottles have been OK, but nothing more. This bottle: Decanted 4 hrs. Medium red colour with a clear touch of brown. Aroma of cake decorations, bakery and roasted almonds. Sweet fruit all the way. Medium to full body. To some degree it was powerful. During consumption it “came-together”. Nice tannins. Ended up as quite dark red with a touch of brown. Medium length aftertaste. 89 pts.
