Slight herbal notes on the nose. Supple hints of honey and caramel on the approach and mid-palate. Medium-long finish. This is an elegant wine that is drinking wonderfully... 95 points. 10/5/2007.

Tasted a few weeks ago and didn't like much as i gave 16/20.
But my perception was a lot different form Stewart. All the nose was mostly about Coal and Tar and a little thin and short for a 30YO.

Best regards,

Here's an old TN I found on this one.

30 Year Tawny Port by Vista Allegra

Light orange and tan with slight green on the edge. A very enticing nose of brown sugar and maple with nuts and some spices. The palate is where this really takes off. From its heavy viscosity, big acidity, maple, nuts, spice, vanilla, cinnamon, and a big finish that just keeps going. Wow, what a great 30 year tawny. 94-95 points.

Joao,

I have met with Miguel on a handful of occasions at either restaurants and few times at his Quinta and must agree with Stewart and Andy on this one. I have opened another bunch here at my home and even the least impressive experience was a 92 pt. experience and it has ranged up to 95 points too. I am not sure what was wrong with the bottle you tried but from maybe 7-8 bottles I have experienced, the profile was a lovely sweet and citrusy delicious drink.

Hi all,

Never doubted Stewart or Andy judgment. I also tried once and thought it was great, much more than his 40YO but then the one i bought wasn't really the same i tasted. Going to buy another from another store as this is probably one the less, or the less, expensive 30YO.

Best regards,
