1970 Ferreira Vintage Port
The Ferreira was the lightest in color of four 1970 vintage Ports opened. It was sweet smelling with hints of wintergreen, black licorice and cherry. There was a heavy fruit taste of cherry and strawberry and some tangerine on the finish. The '70 Ferreira had a wonderful consistency in the glass and a velvet-like smoothness on the tongue with a finish lasting 10 seconds.
