2001 Rozès LBV Port

Color: Deep dark red with dark brown.

Nose: Mature picture, black plum, prunes, raisins, some spices and wood???

Palate: Medium to full bodied, good concentration, mature fruit as above, the wine has a long finish, firm in the end. Sweet but very dry, tough tannins and dryness from wood I think.

Foodmatch: Difficult

Cellaring: Nope

The wine is quite mature and developed, it has a lot of rough dry tannins and I think some dryness from oak. All the dryness makes the wine very unbalanced.
