bottled in 2005

Since the '04 Quinta do Crasto Reserva didn't quite hit the spot tonight, I popped this one. When I was first getting heavily into Ports this was one of my staples. It has never disappointed in the past and this bottle was no different. From the spicy nose to the orange peel, nuts, and maple, which is followed by a long and smooth finish. Always a solid 10 year tawny... 91 points

Can I ask you what you had to pay for the bottle? It sounds like a nice treat and I would like to buy one, but the price in Denmark is around $55, which is quite expensive in my opinion for a 10 year old tawny. But then again, I rather buy one really good for $55 than two mediocre ones for half that price ...

I can get it between $28-32 per bottle at some wine stores around me. $55 is quite steep in price for any 10 yr tawny, so I'd say get one bottle to try, then if you like it get more.

I've had a similar problem with this port. I have had it in the past and thought it definitely to be one of the best 10 year tawnies that I've had, but every time I come across it in a store it seems to be selling for 10 to 15 dollars more than any other 10 year tawny. A bit frustrating...
