From September 23 `till September 30 I will stay in Peso da Regua. I want to see the Douro at harvest time and join the harvest activities. It`s my first time to come to the Douro and I think harvest time is the most beautiful time to be there. I hope to participate a foot treading,it must be wonderful to take part in this traditional winemaking. Does anybody know Quintas near Regua where I can do this?

CeesB,

Some of the Quintas will take visitors if they are set up in advance. A few take tourists whenever at their visitor centers. However, to do treading and some other more hands on stuff you really would need to know someone personally at a particular Quinta that could help set it up.

Also, if you could go the Port Basics section and tell us about yourself in this thread, that would be a big help. I've also sent you an email.

I know Cees, he had been looking to do a :ftlop: Port Harvest Tour last year and then didn't. His dates almost overlap ours this year and he could have joined us this year instead, had the opportunity to tread on grapes and take part in a very ambitious and exciting itinerary.
