1963 Fonseca Vintage Port

Originally opened and tasted with almost no decanting time the 1963 Fonseca was still showing very well and obviously much better an hour later. In the glass it was a perfect dark ruby and blackberry color emitting overwhelming scents of fresh fruit. In the mouth were heavy amounts of berries, primarily raspberry with white chocolate evident on the back palate. It was perfectly balanced and super smooth. I have no doubt that this Port will continue to age gracefully for many years.
