Cross-posting from TPF, which is where this Old & Odd tasting was organized.
1944 Hooper's Colheita
Look: Lightly cloudy, medium tawny color.
Nose: Smokey with a very slight stale note to it.
Taste: Smooth. Not as tangy as I normally expect a tawny to be. Very slight, very mellow taste of VA.
Despite normally favoring Tawnies, this only ranked #6 for me just ahead of the '32 Butler Nephew and behind the '38 and '42 Hoopers which I had tied for #4.
