At exactly one year old this was fun to try. It is only one component in the final blend of Cockburn's VP's. This had a much brighter nose than the Touriga Nacional, more floral with dark black cherries on the nose. Good acidity but lower tannins than the T.N. Nice dark fruit on the palate but the finish drops out on the back palate then the finish comes back and is actually quite long. It is always fun to try these before being blended as you can really see their strengths and weakness' and why blending them all together to make the final product is so important. N/R
