Drunk on 08 October 2008 in a Cockburns vertical in London.

1947 Cockburn
A hint of red in the terracotta core. The nose was a most pleasing mature strawberry jam. With air, Asian spices and sandalwood made themselves known to me and did not fade. The palate was superb, with rounded dry dates that go on and on. This Port is clearly on a good drinking plateau and was my clear second favourite of the evening.
