1957 Rocha Colheita (bottled 2006)
Cola in color with only the very beginnings of any age visible. The nose was very subdued and it was hard to coax anything out of it. But where the nose let me down the palate was just the opposite. A powerhouse of a Colheita that showed great acidity, carmel, cinnamon, some citrus, a little heat, and lots of complexity. The extra long finish rounded out a superb bottle and worth seeking out to buy whatever you can afford. 96 points.
