So where do you think it will be heading from here?

What is your prediction for where it will be at the end of the summer? ... end of 2009?

Here's my guess:

1.45 by Summer's end.... 1.49 by the end of the year.

David,

Looks like we got off pretty easy at around the low 1.30s!

At the moment it is above 1.413 so your 1.45 might be very conservative. It could hit that before Andy lands in Porto. I'd hedge my bets and buy some Euros now if I was going later in June!

Doesn't this happen every spring as we enter tourist season? Along with the price of gas going up for no particular reason? (I refuse to believe that people use THAT much more gas during the summer than during the winter.)

Actually it's currently 1.4313. I know... I made a big wine buy in Portugal today and was hoping to get it done before it went up much more.
The BIG mover has been the British Pound. It's currently 1.66. A month ago it was 1.46.

And yes, Roy, I was happy with the low 1.30s
