Someone brought this to a dinner a few days ago. He said he bought it in the UK in 1994 and it's been in his cellar ever since. The price tag was still on it, £6. Which I dare say sounds a bit expensive for this bottle back in 1994.
It was decanted off a very small amount of sediment flakes about 2 hours before we started drinking it. A bit more ruby in color than tawny with some bricking now evident. The palate was smooth and pleasant despite being a little hot. No tannins noticable and while it still had good acidity, I got the sense it was a bit dull from what it would have been without bottle age. Lacking some sharpness on the palate I would say. A simple finish that capped off a decent and pleasant experience. 83 points.
