Very dark red and purple. Very nice and drinkable. Some milk chocolate.

A fine bottle indeed. It was fun to try this up against the Panascal again. 2001 is a very solid vintage which I've had enough times now and it for some reason is overlooked often. It is up there with 1999, 1995 and 2005 as a very solid vintage overall, from the VPs I have had.
