Tasted 6/9/2009 at McCarthy & Schiering in Seattle
TFP Vintage Port tasting with special guest Robert Bower
2005 Quinta do Panascal Vintage Port
10th (and final) glass of the tasting, so not much of a palate left.
Nice purple color. Good grip from the tannins. Grapey, but not in a bad way. Slightly spicy.
I think that this Port was available from Costco a year or two ago, and I now wish that I'd picked some up. While not a blockbuster, I remember this being quite pleasant. Of course, after 10 glasses who knows what else I might have thought was quite pleasant!
