USE IT OR LOSE IT!

Post by Roy Hersh »

Actually, this is quite newsworthy for anyone interested in wine whatsoever:

Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

Were there stings attached to the money that weren't mentioned? Who wouldn't want free promotional money?

I think Portugal should use up the rest of their envelope to send a variety of 1.5L "samples" to members in good standing of every Port web site in the USA.

My thoughts exactly. I wonder what the strings were to get the money. I don't see any company willfully walking away from free advertising money unless there were some major hoops to deal with.

I agree with you guys. Something smells fishy. :Naughty:

Glenn, how many do you think there are in the USA?

LOL... I have no idea! I'm not even sure how one would go about figuring it out, either.

What consitutes a Port web site? Clearly FTLOP counts, but what about wine web sites that just have a small Port discussion section?

What constitutes a member in good standing? Someone who has posted in the last month?

If I had to guess I'd probably put the number in the hundreds, not the thousands. But that's completely a guess.
