Hi Derek,
From what Axel told me, It seems like all the good stuff is going on a few days before the Harvest Tour, so I may take a pass this year. Still undecided, but I appreciate the offer and will give this more serious thought at the end of July when my plans are in the making.

Roy,
You are correct that we will indeed be drinking some fine port in London a few days before you would arrive but how is that any different to any other month of the year?
Rest assured that if you are coming to London some serious stuff will be popped when you arrive

I've got some great bottles which are tagged for opening when you are next in the UK - not sure what the theme will be, but whatever the theme is, the bottles will be worth experiencing.
I'm tempted to suggest my 1966 vs 1967 comparative horizontal...

Sounds mightly fun. I am working on my schedule now, so hopefully will have things figured out shortly.
I'll email you to get ideas on what days are better for you guys to do things.

You guys are going to kill me with your talk of the 2009 Harvest Tour...
Alas, I will NOT be making it to Portugal this year (that little "wedding" thing in four days...) but both Jody and I are already packing our bags for Portugal in 2010! Well, not LITERALLY packing our bags...well, 'cause that would be just plain silly....but you know what I mean... :blah:
Hoping to also hook up with the UK gang either in route, on return, or at some offline "across the pond"...

May have missed it but are either of you coming back through London? Would be great to catch up! Wonder of we will see you on either Oscar's or the Malvedos blog!

No neither us can make it London

My schedule with work just wouldnºt allow it...I almost didn't make the harvest trip either.
Although we are visiting some Symington Quinta's, sadly Malvedos is not one of them so you wonºt see us on there unless I can bribe them with an older Port I brought

But I am very excited to visit thier other Quintas...all will be a first for me and ones Iºve wanted to visit for a long time...more on that later though.

Sorry Chris, I have been away from home too much already this year and have used up all of my wife points. Hopefully 2010 will work out better. I look forward to see you then.
