Hey Marco,
We haven't talked in a bit and I hope all has been well. I love this LBV and it's one of my favorites, and as an unfiltered LBV should have some nice age-ability.

Also check out the 2003 Taylors LBV. I recently had it double blind, along with some other Port lovers, and it was fantastic. I was shocked when the bag came of. Worthy of seeking out and the best Taylors LBV I've had.

Thanks for the other suggestions. It's always good to get cheap alternatives to vintage ports. Have you tried the 2003 Noval LBV?

I hope you called him Andy. All the other wine guys end up mixing us up and calling each other by the others names.

As for the Noval, off the top of my head I think I've had it once but need to double check though my notes first. I'll get back to you.

Outstanding LBV. Could surely mistake this for a vintage port if tasted blind. So intense. Very fruity, fresh, compact, balanced, dark berries, not jammy, very nice integrated tannins, for sure cellar-potential for a lot of years. Last time I tasted thee Niepoort 2003 LBV was at the anual Port Wine Festival november 2007 at Børsen in Denmark (by Henrik Oldenburg). You taste a lot of port wine - some good - surely some crap to. I've just found my notes - wrote "extremely good LBV +++"
Very nice buy in Denmark (20 euro).
