Wow, cool ideas.
I usually don't go for innovative wine bottles as I feel the bottler is trying to put "lipstick on a pig", but that is not necessarily true. Bottle labels need not be staid and old, but then again wine is about tradition to a point.
I’d love to see a port bottle with a label that is homage or collage to the events of the vintage. 20-30 years later, one could pull the bottle and be reminded of what the world was like during that year. Another idea would be a reflection or summary on what the season was like for that producer.
Both add meaning to the contents of the bottle and allow for reflection of what one is enjoying rather than just some date without meaning.
