1987 Warre's Quinta da Cavadinha Vintage Port (375ml)
I sipped this over two and a half days with no formal notes taken. My impression of it was a medium bodied SQVP that is was at its peak at about 8-10 hours after decanting it. While the palate's soft lavender and anise were quite pleasant some tart red fruit on the mid-tongue was a little out of sync. While overall an enjoyable Port the finish was quite spirity, and even after being well chilled, was still quite prominent and detracted from the overall score. Based on this bottle it still hasn't reached it's full maturity yet. But I've only had it this one time, so I don't know if this is a representative bottle or not. 86 points
