TN: Dow's 10 year old Tawny Port

Post by Roy Hersh »

Dow's 10 year old Tawny Port - I opened this the other night, seemingly a nice new package. The color was a brick orange with lots of ruby glints within the center. Medium bodied and very smooth from the outset, this was an enjoyable, yet unremarkable bottle of 10 year old Tawny Port. Not much of a nose beyond a sweet nuttiness. The palate provided toasted almonds and a sweet entry with citrus and good acidity. The finish was slightly hot the first night but less so the subsequent nights and showed good length. Pleasant. 88 points ~ 8/26
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com
