For The Love Of Port

Hi Everybody,

I'm new and I've got a quick question for you.

I've found a shop in France that is selling the 1952 Dalva Golden White White Colheita Port for €135.00 /btl. As I'm going to be driving over to Germany (from the UK) tomorrow - is it worthwhile making a detour to get a couple of bottles?

I know a few of you on the board have tried it - what are your experiences and is this a good price?

Personally I'd say yes, make the detour. I've had the '52 Dalva once and it is amazing. And €135 is a very good price for it as well.

White colheita...that's pretty scarce 'round here.

Better hurry, if Marco finds out, he might just travel there himself!

You can find in Portugal from 100€ and with some quantity probably you'll find some Euros bellow that

BTW, Grab what you can of this wine because Dalva increased the price of this in 130€.
Meaning that the shops that will from now buy from Dalva, will probably have this wine in the shelves above 250€.

This was because i have the new price for this wine but someone on Dalva gave it to me wrong.

João, the bottles price increased, we used to sell it at 120€ in the beginnig and now we changed it for 179€, but of course that I´m speaking about Golden White 1952 that just arrived from the bottling, now they only bottled by request, what makes a sense...
