1985 Graham’s port. Saturated black/red with no sign of age. Needed some air, then fantastic. Nose of crème-de-cassis, roses, citrus. Extremely young; rich and quite sweet, very long, framboise liqueur or crème de cassis; not at all hot. 96+ with a long positive evolution ahead.

Re: 1985 Graham's Vintage Port
I had the 1985 Graham's last night
Tasted 25 November 2009
Heavy black fruit blossoms on nose. Extremely aromatic.
Still youthful in taste with blackberry and black cherry notes and firm tannins (although this bottle seemed to contain more sediment than most I've had). Still a young teen, showing some muscle and maybe a bit too much alcohol.
But overall the best 1985 I've had in several years. Still improving (my guess) and possibly the star of the 1985 Vintage.

Co-star, yes. Fonseca 1985 can not be ignored in this vintage and rivals (if not bests) the Graham's for the top spot. Regardless of which is your preference, both are stunningly good VPs.
