Initial impressions, without much decanting... Dark red/purple in color. Loaded with black flavors, such as blackberry pie filling, roasted plums and licorice. Very easy to drink, with some (albeit very pure and clean) spirit showing. Although I got some roasted fruit flavors, this didn't taste "roasted" or stewed; on the contrary this was fresh, clean and pure. Maybe instead of roasted fruits I should say "caramelized" fruit. A creamy, almost "milk chocolate" mouth feel. This didn't have the concentration or grip I remember when I had it previously, but it was still addictively delicious; I suspect this needs more decanting.
