Tasted at Port & Fran's Chocolates tasting at Fine Wines & Cigars in Redmond Town Center.
Porto Rocha 10-yr Old Tawny Port
Medium tawny color with just the right amount of red providing substance. Soft nose, a little processed sugar. Apricots quite prominent in the mouth, which has a mellow and rich feel. It's not all that smooth, though, but still very pleasant. Nice heat in the mouth and finish. 88 pts.
This Port was paired with Fran's Milk Chocolate Smoked Salt Caramel which was very nice. I think a dark chocolate would have been too bitter for this 10-yr old, but the milk chocolate blended with it nicely.

I agree with this note and have never been a big fan of this particular bottling.
Were there other FTLOP'ers around? How big was the turnout overall?

Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

Re: NV Porto Rocha 10-yr Old Tawny Port
Kari and I were there from 2pm until about 4pm, and I didn't recognize any other FTLOPers while we were there. I was wearing my FTLOP polo shirt, too, just in case someone else showed up.
Some friends were there, though, as was a couple I met at a previous tasting there. Total attendance had to have been at least 30 while we were there (people came and went the whole time), with probably 20 still there when we left. I suspect that more people probably came and went after we left because the tasting didn't end until 6:00 pm.
