After a five hour decant time the 1970 Morgan's vintage Port had the wonderful aroma of violets, fresh fennel, and grapes. The color in the glass was similar to black plums with a hint of red. It was thinner in the mouth than it looked but very sweet and well balanced. The overwhelming taste was of grape jam with a hint of raisin. This Port was another shining example of the excellent 1970 vintage and one that I wish I had more bottles of!
