1994 Quinta do Noval LBV Port -- (and others).

The `05 Domaine Weinbach Pinot Gris Cuvee Lawrence was the usual attractive effort. Very appealing with Singapore noodles. Papaya on the nose, lime and spice. Elegant, off-dry, pear, grapefruit, it`s all there forumites.
Spotted the `06 Domaine Houchart Cotes de Provence downtown, a staff pick! Opened one hr but not decanted. Blend of Grenache, CS, Syrah, Carignan. Everyone knows the pinkie from here, this red is best served slightly chilled imo. Light color, nose is aromatic with berries and spice.
On the palate, soft tannins, juicy, black and red berries. Dry, no bitterness, light weight. Will be interesting to check what is left this evening.
My last split of the `94 Quinta do Noval LBV was a delight and despite various comments elsewhere, I would not hold onto this wine too long. Deepish red color, strawberry and marzipan on nose. Soft sweet black fruits, drinks so nicely now, why wait? I enjoyed the lush richness here, what else to say eh.

My all time favorite Noval LBV. I have gone through several cases of this in the late 1990s to early part of this decade. Now I have 9 bottles left, unfortunately over in the UK. But they are aging properly that is for sure. I've only read negative reports so not sure what you are alluding to Bob. You and I seem to be the only one's who are loving this. Maybe if you would copy the other comments it would be great to be able to read them!

Roy, I think some TNs are on 750ml bottles so bound to be some variation? Nicos says will last a tad longer. This was a split.
