1983 Dow Vintage Port

- 1983 Dow Porto Vintage - Portugal, Douro, Porto (4/2/2010)
This was very soft and lightly colored when first opened - almost like Pinot Port. Very suave and refreshing, but a touch of heat right at the finish. Now after sitting for 5 hours, it's picked up a lot body. Very solid structure. Nicely balanced fruit. Just a touch of tannins and the heat has disipated. This wine is finally starting to enter real maturity. A very nice wine! (91 pts.)
