20 Year Old Tawny Port by Kopke

Post by Lamont Huxley »

Opened 3 days ago. A light tawny hue with some faint red/orange highlights. On the nose there's a prominent warm cookie dough character as well as dried figs, berries and walnuts. Soft with a creamy texture on the palate and elegant dried fruit flavors, lightly sweet with great balance as it shows no heat sticking out (even when originally popped and poured it wasn't spirity in the least) and ends with a long and lingering nutty finish. Delicious. 93 pts, Tasted 4/17/10
