1980 Graham Vintage Port

Color: Darkest of the night, very deep garnet. Opaque within half an inch of the rim. Oddly for such a dark Port, no purple tone to it.
Nose: A bit musty and dusty. Fairly closed. Some mellow red fruit barely shows, and possibly something purple as well. Very difficult to find.
Palate: Medium dry, medium body weight. Good tannins and acidity - still needs time (both aging and decanting).
Finish: Strong, but rather short-ish to me. Grape stem on the fade.

I started this one at 90 but it eventually climbed its way up to 92. I think with 10-15 more years or 4-8 more hours it would be significantly nicer.

92 points.
