Had just a glass of this last night before bed from one of those $5/.375ml bottles I picked up recently. I know in the past I've complained a bit about the excessive heat this has shown in the past 6-7 years. However, like the last bottle I had recently this showed very little heat and was reminiscent of all those bottles of it I drank many years ago. Nice medium bodied fruit that are consistent from beginning to end, some light tannins that just let you know there are there but don't overpower or detract, and a nice mix of softness across the palate with a touch of ruggedness on the finish. I don't know if there has been another change to this recently, but it reminds me of why I drank so much if it early on in my Port drinking career. I'm glad I grabbed a case of these recently. 89 points
