Not that I am hung up on points, but Tanzer gave it an 87+ which makes the price still pretty good. I will crack one in a few years and report back if this Hersh character knows anything about Port. Rummor has it that he cut his teeth on California Port and Burgundy out of gallon jugs.

Questions regarding 1997 Delaforce Quinta da Corte and WS

Garagiste emailed about Mags of this for $48.73 today. Anyone tried it and have feeling on a maturity window? Second Garagiste posted the WineSpectator review with a best after date of 2007. This seems quite young to me especially when Tanzer says it needs time. I also notice that WS best after date...

bridgema, Look out I think you hit a Roy soft spot! I agree with you that it can be nice to have some 375's around. I like them because I can finish one myself :D. Oh and thanks for the notes on the 83's I don't have any left but have tasted the 83 Warre's and enjoyed it.

We began consuming at around 9:30 pm, it had darkened only slightly (about a 3 on the Roy scale) and any hints of s...

Jay, you killed a baby (someone needed to give you a bad time about this!) I would guess it would need at least 12 hours to come around, maybe more. I have not tried any of the 01's but if they are anything like the 95s they will need at least 10 years. Let us know how it ends up.

Seepage

Jay, I have a number of ports in my cellar that I have purchased in recent years that show signs of seepage. Of course when searching out wines I always look for bottles that don't show this but there are often deals that are to good to pass up that list seepage. To be honest have not had a bad bott...
