I jut picked up 2 of these and I just noticed the labels are slightly different. I was wondering if some one could explain the differences.
1 says at the bottom of the front label "By Quinta and vineyard bottlers - Vinhos S.A. - V.N. Gaia PRoduct of Portugal"
the other says "By Fonseca Guimaraens Vinhos S.A. - Oporto Product of Portugal"
Also the back labels are slightly different in appearance. They have the smae information just a different type size.
Thanks, Andy

Interesting topic, Andy. My best guess would be: the FG-bottle was labeled a bit earlier than the QVB-bottle.
Around the time the 2000 VPs were released, Taylor / Fonseca had acquired Croft and Delaforce, and (IIRC) they changed the name of the parent company to QVB. Perhaps the first bottles to be released still had the "old" label?
BTW: is the rest of the label the same (the "modernised" Fonseca label)?

Steve,
Thank you for the information, that probably explains the slightly different labels. Other than what I stated the front labels are exactly the same with the "'modernised'" logo you ask about.
