Hi,
New to this very cool forum...
Was not expecting much from a bottle that I paid 30$ for a couple of years ago. Never had anything really exciting in the way of VP from Calem.
Decanting time: 3 hours
Very nice aromas of leather and vanilla, dark red colour. Excellent fruit and great balance. Was it my low expectations? But I was really impressed by this and would by some more if I could find it at that price. Only downside was that the alcool started to show more as the evening progressed.
Definitely a high 80s, more if you factor in the price.

Steve, if you can find some bottles at a good price, I was really surprised by the quality of the 2000 VP from Calem. Both the Calem and Quinta do Pego were very good. I never tasted them but the 83 and 94 are supposed to be very good too.Was not expecting much from a bottle that I paid 30$ for a couple of years ago.
