Anyone knows why Vesuvio use small half bottle corks to close their 750 ml bottles?
I don't know for their recent vintages but certainly for 96 and 92 opened recently with friends I was surprised and shocked to see so small corks used for this Top estate.
Now I have doubts that it could age as gracefully as it would with normal 2 inches and more corks.
