2011 Taylor Vintage Port

Post by Roy Hersh »

From a Canadian FTLOP'er comes this news:

For your readers, don’t know if this is a great deal, but Zachy’s has Taylor 2011 on sale for $99 with free shipping for the next 10 days or so.

I bought my 2011 Taylor from Hi-Time Wine Cellars for US$75 each, with shipping under $3 each for a case. (Shipping was $4 each when I purchased six bottles, but when I added in 6 bottles of Niepoort, the total case shipping was $30 with insurance). Their price is now $80, but wine-searcher.com shows a lot of sources in the $75-85 range.

But in Canada any VP that is less than needing to mortgage your house to buy is a good find

Agreed. That's why I was shocked to find 2011 Quinta de Vargellas Vinha Velha being sold up in Canada for $167 USD.

Yes, that was a steal. Wine-searcher is showing US$ 200+.
