Was this part of the bottles Derek found at some crazy cheap price? Glad it still showed well.

No. Part of a stash of nine rough bottles that I picked up on a shot-to-nothing bid at Christies earlier this year.

Last night was a 2004 Quinta do Crasto Vinha da Ponte Douro wine. Still got a couple glasses left for dinner tonight, and so I can see how it's evolved on day 2.

Quinta do Portal 20 Year Old Tawny Port. I'm giving this one some air time to see if that helps. Not that it's bad, but the style reminds me of Moreira and those seem to perform best with LOTS of air time.

1983 Graham's and 1937 Noval Colheita. Both openend for a select group at my company's holiday party. Just the latest step in my attempt to convert more people
One of my employees was down to his last few drops of the 1937 ... just touching the Port to his lips and then licking it off in order to prolong the experience. Then, my wife reached over and drank his last 1/2 ounce. I thought he was going to kill her.
My boss said that, while the Port was delicious, she could not believe that she was drinking something that went into a barrel before WWII.
Overall, a success.

Chris,
Great to hear from you, I see all is well, at least on the drinking front
