Nothing to see here. Move along.

Shush, you. That bottle was from 1985... half the 3rd digit was obscured. I'm sure of it.

Perfectly normal tasting. Very consistent showings. Everything fit within a 5-point range. Don't believe the wild rumors that the range began at 93 and went up...

Nope, thats a wild exaggeration. It would be more accurate to say it began at 92...

What a "portacular" weekend! A tasting the likelihood of which being replicated anywhere is rare. I am so privileged to have been a part of it. As a mere thank you seems inadequate, I am bowing and scraping to Roy, Andy, Vic, Lisa, Glenn, and thanking all others who shared their knowledge and awesome ports.
FTLOP RULES!!!

A big thanks to everyone for being very considerate of the requests of the "novice" to your tastings. I learned so much. Both tastings were unbelievable.

Thanks to all of the participants for their willingness to travel and ante up great bottles and especially to the FTLOP staff who went out of their way to assist with so many of the dynamics that made the weekend such a huge success. Having Andy stay at our home to help with bottle duty was an enormous help and was truly appreciated. Vic and Lisa offering up their home and museum on Sunday gave a bit of something completely different for everyone. Agree that tasting with every bottle showing up to its true potential was just phenomenal. :scholar: What a stellar day into night! :winebath:

Now to figure out how to top this in 2015, when I attempt to put something together that will blow the socks off of any other year ... I have lots of good ideas, but plenty of time to worry about that later this year. Thanks again for those that came from Canada and other states to join us. Next time, same city and approx. the same time of year too!
