Gracias, in that case I will have to save one until your next trip up here!

The British Pound has fallen a bit lately, so I jumped on these:

12 x 1985 Fonseca
12 x 1994 Grahams

Good stuff!

Very nice! I've been looking for some more '85 Fonseca, but there's not much available in the US (except at higher prices) anymore. One of these days I'm going to have to look into that shipping service you use!

A 1980 Niepoort Colheita to share with the folks in Vinologia.

A slew of 1952 Dalva ... because they are near extinction and the price keeps on rising. 179 Euros as of today. I know there wonºt be any left by May when I get back here, so I had to load the boat. The 1963 that is replacing it ... does not come close.

I did buy a 52' Dalva too, there was 10% rebate at the SAQ... 210$ can, decent I think.

Can't have enough of that 52!

The order I placed with Goncalo arrived in Paris yesterday:

2 x Dalva Golden White 52
1 x Sao Leonardo 30y tawny
1 x Martinez VP 85
1 x VP 2007 Quevedo
1 x Warre´s Optima 10y
1 x Quinta Santa Eufemia 30y tawny

The Warre's Otima won't make it back to the US - my Mom and I will drink that while we're in Paris - but the rest will be welcome additions to my cellar!

At auction, some Hutcheson Colheitas; the 52, 64, and 65. All bottled in 2000.
Anyone have any tasting notes? If the 52 is half as good as the 52 Dalva Golden, I'll be happy.

Niepoort LBV 2004 picked up on impulse. I keep doing this. Ideally, I would buy other LBV & 10YO brands too for those low-key occasions, but the ones that are easily available all seem to cost more than the Niepoort in spite of not being better (AFAIK).

Picked up a bottle of 1999 Dow Vintage Port for $20.00.

Not Port, but also got a Gonzalez Byass 1964 Vintage Sherry for $40. Can't wait to open this bottle! [d_training.gif]

1985 Fonseca, 1997 Taylor, and I finally managed to get some 1985 Burmester. My wife and I both really enjoyed the Burmester at the :ftlop: Gala earlier this year, but it is hard to come by in the United States.

Eric,

Burmester has had issues with their importer and they've changed up earlier this year. Hopefully things will get straightened out. Getting a sample of 2007 VP was like pulling teeth.

Ok so I said I was cutting back on buying, but I just couldn't resist buying a case of the 2007 Vesuvio Pombal Douro wine....and a few bottles of the 2006 Vesuvio VP. After all many :ftlop: toes had a hand in stomping the grapes for this VP.

Will either open the Pombal tonight or tomorrow to give it a try and see if it's as good as Roy said it was :P

" ... many toes had a foot in ... " that just sounds, plain wrong. [foilhat.gif]

As to the Pombal ... bon appetite.
