My brother-in-law ordered it from a local wine merchant. He got 4 bottles and I bought 2 of them. It is the only Port I have from my birth year and I had never seen them available anywhere. So, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. They came in lovely single-bottle wooden cases

2 btls of 2011 Quinta da Romaneira VP; a label which I hadn't seen in my country before.
Hoping for good things given that Noval are making the wine and the reviews do look positive.

Regards...Mark

I Nice box from Portugal with 18 old Ports, mostly old Tawnies. 5 old Niepoorts (senior and Presidente).
And the Niepoort Colheita 1970.

The last one, to be tasted along with the vintage from the same year.

Funny, that some Houses chose to make both Colheita and Vintage the same Year?

Is that a normal thing to do?
Allan

From the local alcohol monopoly (Alko):
Quinta do Noval Colheita 2000
4 x Quinta do Noval Single Vineyard Late Bottled Vintage Port 2005
Quinta do Noval 10 Year Old Tawny Port

The 10 year old will be the first opened in near future.

I hear that '94 Croft is awful, you should probably bring some to the next tasting so you don't have to drink it :-P.

I have a 1994 Passadouro, but no Croft. I'll trade. Also, would you be interested in some swampland in Florida?

Been on a bit of a spending spree, filling up my cellar with mostly every day ports. In the past week I have bought:

Sandeman 10 yro Tawny
Quita do Novel 10 yro Tawny
Quinta do Infantado 2004 LBV
6 bottles of Krohn 1976 Colheita (bottled 2013)
Warre Porto Fine White
Kirkland Signature 10 yro Tawny
Fonseca 20 yro Tawny
Taylor 2011 VP

About a year ago, I was casually going through a number of different 10 yro's. Now I would like to do it more systematically, taking notes. Anybody have a comprehensive list of 10 yro tawnies that I could use to go shopping?

I may have a list floating around somewhere. Over the past year I've been pulling together a number of 10 yro's for a tasting. So far I think I have acquired around 35 different 10 yro's (or so), but I did have a listing that I was using for the more obscure (in the U.S.) producers. I'll see if I can find it...
