The fonseca 2003 is still a stunning wine.
i put it at 96 on release
and now i'd put it even higher.
the 2003 taylor is a good wine but certainly not a 98 pter.
and I never hope to smell ceiling wax in my ports

I don't know what ceiling wax smells like, and I'm just guessing at what it actually is.
As for the effect of reviews on prices, this definitely happens in the U.S. Look at 2007 Dow. I don't pay much attention to Parker scores on Port, but am still affected when it comes to buying things that happen to also get high ratings from him/them. I found 1992 Taylor for less than the $160 reported earlier in this thread, but it is still considerably more than the '92 Fonseca. 1997 Quinta do Noval. Yeah, I've paid more and less than the reported price of $150. I picked up 2003 for $40.
