Instead, how about I trade you one of my new six packs for your 63 Nacional that you got an anonther trip? That would leave me with a couple of cases of the Vesuvio plus you get some more Vesuvio! Sounds fair to me and everybody wins! What do you think? I'll simply buy another six pack or two to make sure I don't run out, so you need not worry about that.

Fantastic TNs, thanks. I have a couple of bottles and have not been tempted to open even one as I like my ports well aged. So, when do you think this will reach its peak maturity?

Bob,

That's a real tough question to answer and one which I will duck. Ask me again in 10 years and I'll let you know what I think then.

But, for what its worth, I would say that this will still be fabulous in 2044.

If I'm not dead in 2044 I will probably be far beyond enjoying this port!

I was expecting to give my 94s 30 years in the bottle, unless I win the lottery in the meantime and can afford to try some young.

I've had 94 Warre from a half and it was just too rough and tough, even after a day in the decanter. And a good friend poured some 94 Taylor and Fonseca for me a few years ago which I enjoyed but they were clearly decades away from full maturity.
