Saw a case of 1987 Nacional for under 3k, wonder if it's worth getting?

It doesn't make any sense to treat the juice different as you want the best product from what ever your yield is. Obviously, they have some idea of what lays ahead for the juice since they have been picking grapes and making wine for a long time.

I agree with Andy. When the grapes are harvested, they really don't know where the grapes will wind up. In fact, those decisions are typically NEVER even seriously considered until around Feb. the following Spring. Even then, they will know of the quality of the Port ... but they won't know where it will wind up, yet.
