Ended up on opening a Quinta da Romaneira Vintage Port 1985.

Decanted for 7 hours. Very nice port, which I would estimate to be around it's peak now.

Some very nice Ports that were open, now if you all can post a tasting note about them, however long or brief, in the tasting note forum I'd be a very greatful moderator :D

For one Christmas dinner I opened a Vesuvio 2000 VP (TN already posted!) and then the next one we did a comparison-tasting of multiple different tawnies (which I have to scribe notes from paper to computer, but it may take a day or so).

The Vesuvio was of course far too young, but pop-n-poured, was sweet and beautiful. Bold, in your face, and sadly, gone before I could have more than my share. :twisted:
