I just happened to find a bottle of Churchill's Finest Vintage Character Port and don't remember ever trying this before. Has anyone else had it?
In October, I normally stock up on a mixed case of inexpensive everyday quaffers, usually to make Port reductions with ... but there is always room for a glass while cooking!
Anyone else have a recent favorite?

Graham's Six-Grapes. I've had several bottles of this over the past 7-8 months and it has always been a good inexpensive bottle. HIghly recommended.

Crusted ports and traditional LBV's. I must buy myself a stash and then bury them in the back garden somewhere for the next 40 years.
Plus, of course, the supermarket special offers we get over here from time to time. Who can resist stocking up on Quinta do Crasto 1996 at £10 a bottle!

I have tasted a wide variety of "Value" ports this year, particularly in the past few months with the constant barage of supermarket offers of
"50% off" - I keep coming back to Taylor's 2000 LBV as my favourite mid-week nightcap, especially when slightly chilled.
This wine has been consistently available for the past 6 months in the UK at around £7.50 per bottle (that's about $15 US this month, probably $30 next month
) and wins my QPR Port of the Year 2006 award 8)
In second place comes Morgan VP 1991 - as reviewed previously by Alex Bridgeman and supplied by Tom Archer at £11 per bottle - excellent
In thrd place is Quinta do Noval VP 1931 - a glass supplied by Tom which cost me nothing except a very sore head the next morning :?

We have been breaking into Tom's cellar to drink his N31's - they are all filled with Taylor's 2000 LBV now

My favorite values ports of the last 6 months/year: I don't recall all the prices though.

Cossart Gordon Bual 10 yr (snagged a case on sale at $11 U.S.)
'94 Taylor Fladgate LBV
