A nice old Tawny. From Martinez. Should be more than 90 years old. Still has alot of freshness.
Had only a T-stopper. But the wine is more than Allright.

Happy birthday to me
The line up for my birthdayparty on sonday:
The Burmester was very much alive and kicking, Dow´s opend up after 5 hours, Feist was drinkable after 10-12 hours!
The Niepoort Partyport (20 years old Yawny) bottled in the 80s, was very nice.
The Ni 55 was a little tired, and should have been drunk 10 years ago.

Last night a 1/2 bottle of 1997 Niepoort. I won't post a note as it's basically the same as my last; VA marring an otherwise lovely VP.

Sitting with a glass of 2013 Malbec from Argentina. Not very good.... But just finished decanting tonights Ports.
4 guys alltogether and 2 bottles, that must be allright.
A beautiful 1965 Feist Colheita (the one I had 2 weeks ago had a flaw), and one of the Holy Grails in my Collection, the Duque de Braganca 1895.
The first impression is just:

Nice Allan,
Opened a cellar defender last night at the last moment. Another of my "house VP's" being a 1997 Niepoort VP. Less VA than some previous bottles so it was a tad more enjoyable.

Correction, only three of us drank the ports, and later at night, we opend a very nice 20Y Taylor bottled in1985.
So All in all a night with 220 years of Ports.
The Feist was amazing, and when we had the Duque right after, it was a bit dissapointing. We were expecting something more.... But then after a few more hours of breathing, the Ferreira opend op to be one of the Best Ports I've ever had.
Tonight a bottle of 10 Y Niepoort bottled in 1982 is on the table.
It is kind of Tuff to reach the Big 50. But a lot of fun on the same time...

We had another bottle of this ^^ last night, followed by
Broadbent 10 year madeira. For dry wines I brought over a
1978 BV Reserve Cab (really smooth just classic old CA cab) &
2011 Suremain Rully 1er Cru Preaux, which was lovely elegant Burgundy.
