There was a 1-day sale at 50% off.
Nice! Missed that one. Are you free to say what you paid? Just curious what full price is on the '52 these days.
His price should be around $200 or so given the 50% off.

I do wish I had bought a bottle or two of the special edition 1965 colheita. My one regret, but at that point I thought I would fill my bag with other bottles.

1 x 2009 Warre's Vintage Port

This is the special bottling commemorating the Liberation of Oporto. I have never seen a single bottle of this, so I picked one up in the Graham's Port Lodge.

Had you bought into the FTLOP buyer's op, you would have certainly saved money. :scholar:

Some have limited markets, but many, including the one under discussion here, have been available in Europe.

I looked around a few European sites and found several of these, Call me impressed at the deal you were able to get. It's a shame I wasn't around back then. I suppose I can hope for an "Introductory" sale price at retail when they launch? If not, now that I'm a subscriber, there is always next time.

In the meantime I'm happy with getting 6x 750ml Dow's 1985 K&L auction $270/ no buyers premium. The other half of this case is up now. I figured for $45 a bottle it makes a great "go to" bottle for current drinking. Trying to put together a cellar is a lot of fun, but expensive. Since I've joined FTLOP, 70 bottles(13 vintages 1963-2008), of IDVP have been added to my now overflowing wine cooler. I blame the enablers... [dance2.gif]

At that price is was barely more than an LBV!

I got 'em for short-term cellar defender-style drinking.

Ah. I see. Something to drink while you eye up that lousy port which is blocking up so much of your wine cabinet, called Stone Dresses or something like that.

Yes!

Don't worry, I didn't actually corner the market. I only own 0.4% of production.

This week I'm rounding out a few holes from K&L as their supply of older ports is rapidly diminishing. That and I got a 10% discount and free shipping.
