With the score at 14:15 in favour of the red stuff I hope we have one more vote for Tawny and then Roy should close poll so that we can all feel good about the fact that we all drink the greatest wine in the world, regardless of which colour it happens to be (apart from Pink  ) 8--)

I'd vote a second time , and give tawny an overwhelming majority , however I shall refrain from doing so simply because the Montréal Canadians are in the playoffs and voting a 2nd time may cause a premature end to their playoff hopes . . .
However It hasn't been clearly defined from the outset what parliamentary procedures are to be used to determine le gagnant .
1- Simple majority
2- 2/3 majority
3- Plurality of votes or
Ports drawn at 20 paces ( decanted 1st beforehand )

Roy,

I didn't pay them anything. I just promised to make them drink tawny at the next Crusting Pipe Off-line unless they voted

Andy,

There is an easy solution. Just ask Stewart this question and see how the vote mysteriously changes with soem system administrator input:

1. Do you want to drink Tesco Fine Tawny at the Crusting Pipe in October 08? or
2. Do you want to drink a 100 year Vertical of Vintage Port at the Crusting Pipe in October 08?

A late vote, but it goes to RUBY.

I love a good tawny port, and one of my all time favorites is the Niepoort 30YOT, and I certainly wouldn't turn down a beautiful colheita, but I prefer Vintage Port. A good vintage just adds a little bit extra for me that a tawny can never achieve.

Bastards... It was such a long shot for the Bruins, oh well... We still have the Celtics in the running.

Now that the Habs have eliminated Moses , err , I mean , the Beantown squad , voting a 2nd time will most asuredly see the Flyers upset the Habs . . .

I almost missed this one. I think this topic and poll should be on the "main" forum, not Port Basics where I think there is less traffic. I come here as an afterthought.

I am surprised at how close it was . I drink tawnies and colheitas as an after thought as well. I do like them and I have had some great ones but day in and day out, I am a ruby port lover first and foremost.
