3x 2007 Quinta do Noval VP
A whole bunch of 2007 VP showed up at a local b&m. This was the best deal and the one I wanted the most. I don't know where they've been since release, but the OWCs showed they shipped to the store in early December.

Westminster Total Beverage. They also had 2007 Taylor, Fonseca, and Grahams as I recall; no Sandeman. The T & F are $80, the Grahams is $70, and the Noval is $60.

Very nice! I think I paid $90 for my three because I couldn't find them anywhere else at the time.

Glenn is right, that is an amazing price on the Noval's and if they have access to more please do let us know. I'd be in for a bunch if they'd ship!

I thought I had been shut out on the 1994 Heitz (Napa) port wine but was surprised to learn this morning that a charge was on my CC and when checking found out it was for those and some older 1980 Christian Brothers port (I believe from Zinfandel) but the 1969 bottling of the latter domestic port is still my all time favorite domestic bottle, along with one 1875 Cucamonga, that Frank tota brought to Andy's LA offline last year.

Their website doesn't give an inventory count, but it appears they ship. They had more when I left, but I can't promise that Russ won't clean them out. [1974_eating_popcorn.gif]

A week of Port finds.

1997 Churchill's LBV (bottled 2001)
2000 Noval VP
2003 Noval VP

The Churchill's was a single bottle find in a market that is now devoid of Churchill products (except for old stock). A couple of years ago I snagged a few bottles of discontinued Churchill's at knockdown prices (the Churchill's White Port, Churchill's Crusted, and 03 Churchill's VP).

The Noval's were crazily priced so I bought the few thinking they were the 2000 but got home to find that one of them was a 2003. Sweet.

It's always fun to find those single old or rarely seen bottles, even if it isn't a VP. I recently found a single bottle of 1990 Churchill LBV at a store near me and even at $30 I figured it would be fun to try an older rarely seen LBV. I haven't opened it yet....

That's an excellent price for a very good port. In the UK, this is currently retailing around £20 - say $32 - and is good value at that price. It's a port which will age well for 30 years.
