TN: 1985 Grahams Vintage Port
What better way to chase to snow laden cold in London than with a bottle of Port. Decanted for 6 hours. Deep plum red. An enticing nose of earthy red fruits with a dash of herbs. The palate is a seamless velvet acceleration of sweet red plums with a dash of alcohol across my tongue. It is restrained and balanced, yet I feel that there is more that this Port wants to give me. Highly drinkable now, I have no doubts that this has another couple of decades of positive ageing possible if you prefer more mature nuances, which I do. 92/100.
